Lil' Drawings, No. 1

I have about 9 million of these types of little drawings cluttering my home. I'm going to start posting them here. Some of them are going to be straight scans, some are going to be slightly photoshopped.

Here's the first one.

Update: It's been named. "Hucked and Shucked Under a Blue Moon."

What is the word 'blog?'
Never heard of such a thing.

Roundtable Thursday: Bellringers

Okay, the effects of tryptophane are finally wearing off. Head over to the Incurable Insomniac's blog and read about her inner dilemma regarding Salvation Army bell ringers: friendly holiday faces or pesky panhandlers? Feel free to post your thoughts.

Wuvvable Maladies

Here's the perfect gift for that special someone. It's a stuffed flesh-eating disease microbe! Check out the little fork & knife! Who could resist letting this huggable scamp bite a few chunks out of their leg?

Or can give someone the flu, mono... even the black death! Merry Xmas!

Whales in the Sky

As a followup to the largest machine in the world, here are the world's largest airplanes. This one used to be called "Super Transporter" but now it's the "Airbus Beluga" due to its resemblance to the marine mammal.

I'll take it

OK I know what I want for Christmas.
This is Bagger 288, a a giant bucket-wheel excavator, built by Krupp. It's the largest moving machine in the world.
Not sure how you will get it over here from Germany.... no need to wrap it though, just put a bow on top.

Check out the photo of the bulldozer that got caught in that big grinding wheel...

Roundtable Thursday: Tattoo Boo Hoo

This week Prego at Rustbelt Ramblings is thinking about how common tattoos are these days. Common or not, his mom's still mortified to find out about his ink. Got any tattoos or such that seemed cool at the time but now you regret? Click here and add your comments, dude.

Mario 64 Beaten in 16 Minutes

I couldn't stop watching this video: Super Mario 64 beaten in 16 minutes. The player makes use of ingenious shortcuts and even technical glitches in the game.

The Black Box Gadget Concept

This black box concept is one of those things that just seems obvious once you've seen it. (Or, imagined it.) A cell phone that turns into an iPod that turns into a calculator. With games, dictionary, encyclopedia and movie player.

It's like a pocket-sized monolith.

Seeing Things

Phil Plait from bad astronomy is seeing things:

The image of Lenin on a shower curtain. Jesus, cats, a buffalo, and a scottish terrier in a nebula. Even the haunting ghost of Abe Vigoda!

But, a giant face on mars? Not so much.
