The Geiger-esque House of Blues is a creepy building. It looms in the shadows of the Marina City towers like a giant alien egg.

Little Flamingo

This lovely photo of Alexander Calder's sculpture Flamingo was taken from the top of the Sears Tower by Katie Scully. The perfect straightness of the buildings give it a cool designed edge, but the warm colors add a friendliness and playfulness to the photo. Basically, it rocks. 'Flamingo' is one of my favorite sculptures, but, I gotta say, the name is awful, sorry Alex.
