Welcome to the Roundtable, Now Spill Your Guts

Yesterday Suzanne revealed her secret love of Gyros.
What foods do you secretly crave, even though you know you shouldn't?
I have a hankering for Ramen noodles, which I suppose is good in case I ever find myself broke.
Nutritionists are rolling in their graves. (uh... except the living ones)

Ironically, I don't have secret cravings for really really unhealthy food. However, the things I can't stop eating include these not-so-healthy items...
apple pie
chips and salsa
tiramisu
Ande's chocolate mints
fortune cookies
Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies
Good dark chocolate
So that's why I don't buy these snacks very often (except for chips and salsa which makes for a good bachelor's dinner).
A burger with secret recipe chili and mustard, from Genie's Wienies.
Cheddar & Sour Cream Ruffles.
I don't really have any secret food cravings. I eat mostly organic/natural foods and am only very rarely attracted to junk food.
The smell of anything cooked in sesame oil makes me feel sick. Also, Vietnamese cuisine is repulsive ...are they the ones who cook :::puppies::: ?
For the most part, I eat relatively healthily. However, the bodegas in my neighborhood sell these little Table Top Pies. It's a pie, but in tiny snack form. If my guard is down, I can sometimes find myself eating one, even though I know they have absolutely no redeeming nutritional value.
Being diabetic, I have to really restrict myself diet wise. But, every now and then I just have to have Taco Bell.
I, too, eat pretty healthy food, for the most part. When I crave something, I usually allow myself to indulge a little, so I don't know that I have any "secret" cravings, per se. However, Sereena's response reminded me how much I lOOOOOoooooove Cheddar & Sour Cream Ruffles. Evil, evil woman!
Seattle has a local burger chain calledKidd Valley which makes the yummiest deep-fried mushrooms. I try not to have those more than once or maybe twice a year as a special treat. I just indulged last Saturday, and it was well worth the wait. But, if you batter-fry just about anything, such as cardboard, I'd still probably love it.
Suzanne, get Baked.
I confess to good old SOS. Yep, white gravy with tuna in it, over toast. Nettl won't let me fix it for myself, however, because she can't take the smell. That's not fair. I put up with her favorite, which is smoked oysters on saltines.
Great, now I'm craving SOS. Thanks!

P.S. This thing won't let me post a comment under "other". Now I need my SOS comfort food...
Ruffles potato chips with full fat French Onion Dip. Oh Yeah baby...come to Momma! I can't even bring this combo. into the house without eating the whole big bag in one sitting. And since I don't want to weight 552 pounds, it's about a once a year thing for me. Geez, now I'm hungry.
Is there a trend that bloggers tend to eat healthy? No, probably just our Roundtable bloggers. Too bad I have been traveling for work a lot and just plain eat too much.
One food I forgot to mention, (if you want to call it food is Coca Cola). Carbonation is addictive and Coke tastes good with almost anything. I try to limit myself to having it twice a week.
Sereena, I think the puppy broilin's only an ethnic stereotype. Lots of cultures have some yucky fixin's. Ours is no different. Have you seen what possum looks like?
I adopted a somewhat vegetarian diet a while ago, shying away from the factory farm animals. It somehow led to an love affair with duck. Daffy? Donald? Disco? You're all f***ing delicious.
i can't get enough fat-free cottage cheese (old home, not land o'lakes) with a mess o' black pepper in it...it's sooo wrong it's right and it's the only thing i can have in the fridge that my kids won't touch! tee hee
Where do I begin? I am always craving food that's bad for me -- never craving food that's "healthy". I eat the healthy stuff grudgingly out of obligation only. My short list of bad food I love includes...
pizza pizza pizza
twinkies
Chicken McNuggets
double cheeseburgers (hold the lettuce, tomato & onion)
bratwurst
did I mention pizza?
scary, huh...
For a moment, I thought Sereena was advising me to follow in the steps of of Jon Stewart, Dave Chappelle, Jim Breuer, and Cheech & Chong.
Then, I clicked on the link. I usually do get Baked to satisfy my potato chip cravings, when I have them. I'm pretty sure there were a few times when getting baked led to getting Baked.
Not that I advocate the use of illegal narcotic, in any way. I'm just sayin'...
Pizza and beer are both delicious and make my waistline expand if I consume too much of either.
My weakness is Butterfingers. Terribly unhealthy, but they just had to be so insanely yummy...
Otherwise, my favorites are more weird than junky. Yesterday I was craving and ended up eating macaroni and cheese with mustard and shreds of ham. Hmm, though that's probably not really healthy either... :)
while belonging in the pizza/beer grouping (Palermo's on 15th's use of prosciutto is deathly sinful), the one thing I will go coocoo for cocoa puffs over are TJ's chocolate covered pretzels. If I'm not careful, or if I'm in the state Suzanne thought Sereeena was advocating, I'm likely to eat the whole gd thing.
In high school I used to torture my sisters by making Chef Boy-Ar-Dee pizza-in-a-box pizzas. Deliciously foul stuff. They would complain that I made the whole house smell like vomit when I baked them. Turns out they were right, the parmesan is full of butyric acid.
"It is notably found in rancid butter, parmesan cheese, and vomit…"
Gross. Yum. I did finally outgrow that particular craving.
I seldom eat Poutine.
Bit oh how I love a big plate of it. So tasty - and fattening. Good thing I just started running again. Hey - I hear a poutine calling my name!
